Aleksey Babakhanov, FNP, is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner specializing in dermatologic care at Adult & Pediatric Dermatology in Forest Hills, Queens. Certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP), Aleksey provides comprehensive skin health services for patients of all ages, from infants to seniors. His clinical focus includes medical treatments for acne, eczema, and psoriasis, as well as cosmetic services like Botox and chemical peels. Before entering dermatology, Aleksey built a strong foundation in acute care while serving in the emergency departments of Lincoln Hospital, a Level I Trauma Center, and Northwell Health Forest Hills Hospital. He also served as a clinical preceptor for nursing students and new graduates, mentoring the next generation of healthcare providers.

As a family nurse practitioner, Aleksey is trained to treat patients from infancy through adulthood. He manages childhood skin conditions including eczema in infants and toddlers, molluscum contagiosum, pediatric warts, rashes and contact dermatitis, birthmarks, and acne in teenagers. His approach with younger patients focuses on gentle treatment options and clear communication with parents about what to expect during and after each visit.

Adult Medical Dermatology

Aleksey evaluates and treats the full range of adult skin conditions. His practice includes acne management, psoriasis treatment, eczema care, rosacea management, mole checks and skin examinations, wart removal, and skin cancer screening. His emergency medicine background at Lincoln Hospital, a Level I Trauma Center, trained him to assess conditions quickly and make confident clinical decisions, a skill that carries into every patient encounter.
