New York is a place you should be able to visit at least once in your life and for many reasons. It’s home to a great diverse culture, fantastic food, and several iconic destinations. In this video, we’ll be looking at five places to visit in New York.

1. Statue of Liberty

With New York being home to so many landmarks and icons, one that stands out will always be the Statue of Liberty. This 450,000 pounds statue, a gift from France to America, is estimated to be 152 feet tall from its base to its torch and is one of the most iconic symbols of freedom.

There are many ways to visit Lady Liberty. One can take a short boat trip to Liberty Island to see one of the world’s most giant statues up close, but one can also visit Battery Park on the tip of southern Manhattan to get a good glimpse of it.

2. Metropolitan Museum of Art

As one of the oldest art Museums in the world, the MET has been open to visitors since 1870. The museum is one of the most famous in the United States and in the world. It has a permanent collection of more than two million works of art that spans more than 5000 years.
It would be the dream of artists, history nerds, and other enthusiasts to be able to visit the MET.

3. The Empire State Building

There’s no visiting the Empire State without at least getting a glimpse of the Empire State. This 1454-feet building that towers over the skyline has been there since 1931. It’s one of the tallest buildings in NYC and has been a landmark and a symbol for New York ever since it opened.

Two observatories in the building can be visited: The open-air 86th Floor Observatory and the Top Deck on the 102nd Floor.

4. Broadway

Broadway is home to the Theater District. Shows line up along the street, including long-running classics such as The Lion King, The Phantom of the Opera, Cats, Wicked, and other shows from the golden age of musical theater.

Even if you aren’t planning on watching a show, dropping by the famous pedestrian-only Shubert Alley to take a stroll and some pics is a good idea.

5. Central Park

Central Park has over 843 acres of land, and there’s just so much to visit. This world-famous park has many places to visit, such as the Central Park Zoo, Strawberry Fields, and Belvedere Castle.
