After dropping at San Diego Comic-Con, John Wick 4 has fans stoked and excited for another entry in the Keanu Reeves franchise. As usual, many of the films’ more dedicated and die-hard fans noticed several things casuals haven’t, and we’re here to list them down.

1. The Writings On The Wall

In the only part of the trailer where he speaks, when Wick says he’s ready to go, he walks by a wall with the word “Past” written in all caps.

Fans think this means either one of two things. Either his past is something he needs to go back to so he can finally end his war with the High Table, or his past as the Baba Yaga is something he should let go of to succeed.

2. The German Shepherd

It must have sucked for the hitman who’s crotch was bitten by the dog, but for fans, it didn’t’. The appearance of the Belgian Malinois could mean that Halle Berry, who plays Sofia Al-Awar, who owned two dogs in the previous film, could be involved again in this one somehow.

3. Clancy Brown

Clancy Brown, an actor famous for authoritative and villainous roles, is seen in the trailer at the Continental’s front desk. He remains nameless as of now, but fans are speculating he’ll be taking a role similar to the ones he’s had in the past.

4. The Katana and Pistol Fight

At some point in everyone’s lives, we’re sure they asked why people still fight with swords if guns are an option and the fight between Donnie Yen and Reeves in the movie looks to answer that. Also, it’s an indicator that we may finally get some sort of Asian Mafia or triad involvement.

5. The Archer

Speaking of triads, the scene early in the trailer of a person jumping down with a bow and arrow adds to that speculation. We don’t know much yet, but it definitely has something to do with John’s past as Baba Yaga.

Are they enemies he fought in the past? Are they allies he fought with? Or worse, are they allies who are now his enemies?
