With so many movies to choose from, movie lists will always be challenging. However, we’ll be taking on that challenge in this video by listing down 5 of the best movies of 2023 so far.

5. Creed III

Following Adonis Creed, who’s now at the top of the boxing world, Creed III throws an uppercut his way as a childhood friend and former boxing prodigy surfaces after serving time in prison, challenging his entire world and career.

As unnecessary as the ninth installment to the Rocky Balboa franchise may sound, Creed III actually subverts all expectations, placing itself in the top 3 in the Rocky franchise for many fans.

4. The Eight Mountains

Relatable, realistic, and revealing, The Eight Mountains is an amazing movie that follows Pietro and Bruno, two old friends reuniting in a place filled with memories.

Set in the Italian Alps, we get beautiful scenes of both young and old Pietro and Bruno as they seek to roam valleys, explore mountains, and find themselves. Like Brokeback Mountain, this movie focuses on storytelling, relationships, and growth. Only subtler and more serene.

3. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3

As the final installment for the GOTG franchise, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 is able to end the franchise on a very high note. From exploring the past of the secretive Rocket, to intertwining conflicts between a lot of the characters, and with a great villain as the cherry on top, this movie deserves 3rd place on this list.

2. Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse

It’s difficult to imagine that a movie as great as the first one would get a sequel better than it, but Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse definitely does that.

At number 2, this follow-up movie has satisfied all expectations, sticking with the elements from the previous film that the fans loved while working on the ones that needed improvement.

1. Air

This movie went under the radar for a lot of people, and it’s a shame that it did. Starring Ben Affleck and Viola Davis who Michael Jordan himself chose to cast, Air is a biographical sports drama film revolving around the first ever Air Jordans and how they came to be.

If you’re looking for a movie that feels very similar to Jobs and the Social Network, this one is pretty similar to those. Air deserves to be number one on this list with great acting, an amazing script, and an overall well-made movie.
