1. Nathan’s Famous
First on this list is Nathan’s Famous. With the help of an award-winning chef, Nathan’s Famous burgers are beyond comprehension.
They serve all types of burgers, but their stand-outs are the B.B.Q. Bacon Tribeca Chicken Sandwich and N.Y. Attitude Fresh Angus Burger. Their New York Cheesesteak and 3-Cheese Meatball Parmesan are also must-tries.
2. Blue Restaurant
Quite possibly, the most unique entry on this list is Blue Restaurant’s Lamb Burger. It’s healthier than beef, has a richer and fuller flavor, but it still doesn’t stray too far from the familiar texture we love with beef burgers. The toppings of the lamb burger are also different and meant to complement the unique taste of the ground leg. They top it off with feta cheese and sauteed spinach.
The Lamb Burger can be found in their brunch menu alongside other burgers like their Brunch Burger and B.E.C. Burger.
3. Red Hook Lobster Pound
While they aren’t known for their burger as most of their dishes are focused on their seafood, the Hook Burger deserves to be on this list.
Their hook burger, a 1/2 lb dry-aged prime blend topped with lettuce, tomato, and their own special sauce, is a must-try. Cooked to perfection and to preference, with perfectly seared fresh baked buns and a generous serving of special sauce, this is one of the few times you won’t regret visiting a seafood restaurant for their burger.
4. Steiny’s Pub
Pubs always have the best burger, and Steiny’s Pub is not an exception. Their hamburger serves simple 1/4 lb beef topped with lettuce, tomato, onion, pickle, and chips.
As an alternative, their quesadilla, corned beef sandwich, and pastrami sandwich are also great options to try out.
5. Ruddy & Dean
Ruddy & Dean is a spot that takes pride in its steaks, but their burger is just as amazing.
Their Cheese Burger, which is often bundled with their Surf and Turf Dungeness Crab Cluster on Wednesdays, is a must-try. They also have thick-cut house-smoked bacon, Scarpariello Wings, and Sliders, all perfect appetizers.
