Although many are closed, there are still New York City coffee shops that have traces of the community hubs that they used to be pre-covid. Many Coffee shops still have karaoke nights, all-day wine, and fantastic, electrifying cold brew. (you can also check-out more NYC guides)

Here are 10 New York City Coffee Shops for Outdoor Coffee:

Super Nice Coffee and Bakery By Danny Macaroons

First on our list is a coffee shop that serves heavenly drink specials like their dulce de leche and caramelized brown sugar lattes. Not only does Super Nice Coffee and Bakery serve great Coffee, but true to its name, they also serve amazing pastries and baked goods.

You can still pick up Coffee from them if you’re open to the idea of an impromptu picnic at Marcus Garvey Park. They are available on weekdays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on weekends.

Lenox Coffee Roaster

Lenox Coffee Roaster, a unique coffee shop in Central Harlem that has been around since 2011, roasts their beans out of Red Hook and sources their milk from Battenkill Valley Creamery.

They serve breakfast and lunch items aside from the Coffee and also have beer and wine. Lenox Coffee’s outdoor patio is open weekends and weekdays from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Rex

Rex brews Coffee from Counter Culture Coffee, an esteemed North Carolina roaster. Aside from their Coffee, they serve freshly baked “cuffins,” egg sandwiches, and a plethora of attentive cakes.

Rex also offers Cuban Coffee, a type of espresso that originated in Cuban. Specifically, it refers to an espresso shot which is sweetened, that’s definitely worth the trip to 10th Avenue. Rex is open weekdays from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. and weekends from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
