With a lot more theaters finally opening again this year, there are so many exciting movies we can finally watch on the big screens.

In this video, we’ll be taking a look at five movies to look forward to this 2022.

Nope

Another entry in what seems to be a flawless list of Jordan Peele movies, Nope gives you a lot of things in the trailer without actually telling you anything. Like the suspense, thrill, and masterful performances of everyone involved in the making of getting Out and Us, we’re expecting Nope to exceed our expectations once again.

This mysterious film set in a small town in the American Southwest stars Keke Palmer, Daniel Kaluuya, and Steven Yeun.

Avatar 2

A decade later, we finally get a sequel to James Cameron’s Avatar that once ruled the top seats of box office hits. This follow-up movie is set a few years after the first film, and now Jake Sully and Neytiri finally have a family on Pandora.

We aren’t sure what to expect from a film 13 years in the making, but we’re hoping that Avatar 2 doesn’t disappoint; especially since it now claims to have two more movies, Avatar 3 and Avatar 4, in the works already, even when we haven’t seen the 2nd movie yet.

Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore

Despite the unfortunate removal of Johnny Depp from the franchise as Grindelwald, there’s still a lot to look forward to in this Harry Potter Universe franchise. We’ll finally get more screen time for our beloved Albus Dumbledore, but this time with more stories about his past.

In The Secrets of Dumbledore, we’ll once again bear witness to the stories of Newt Scamander as he continues to pursue the evil wizard Grindelwald while dealing with the impending World War II.

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness

Anybody who says they aren’t excited to see what’s next for the Marvel Cinematic Universe after Spider-Man: No Way Home hits the cinemas is lying. Tying in with the Disney+ series WandaVision, the Disney+ series What if, and Spider-man No Way Home, the Multiverse of Madness is one of the more unique entries in the MCU film series.

Director Sam Raimi is also teasing Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness as the first actual horror film in the MCU, and its trailer is definitely making it look that way.

The Northman

With a star-studded cast of all-around great actors like Alexander Skarsgard, Anya Taylor-Joy, Nicole Kidman, Ethan Hawke, Willem Dafoe, and Björk, we’re finally getting another film from Robert Eggers. Eggers directed The Witch, which also starred Anya Taylor-Joy, and The Lighthouse, which stars Willem Dafoe and Robert Pattinson.

With this revenge thriller set in the past about a Viking prince seeking to avenge his father’s death, we’ll be expecting more of the same amazing writing, thrilling direction, and overall captivating movie-making magic from Eggers.
