Most lists often talk about cheap or affordable vacations, but we’re doing the opposite for this video.

For this video, we’ll be taking a look at 5 of the most expensive cities to visit in 2022.

1. Singapore

Everything is expensive. Singapore is by far the most expensive city in the world for tourists. From transportation to food, tourist destinations, and everything else, Singapore is the most expensive city in the world by a large margin.

However, it’s definitely worth it. From the moment you land at its airport, you’ll be greeted with luxury and class. On average, hotels cost 45 Singaporean dollars, while the cheapest one can go only as low as 29 Singaporean DOllars. On the other hand, a meal can cost you 15 Singaporean Dollars.

2. Hong Kong

Hong Kong is expensive, even for rich people. Rent and food are especially expensive, which take up most of your budget.

To give you an idea, a simple meal at a generic restaurant averages 60 Hong Kong Dollars or $8 dollars, while a meal for two at a mid-range restaurant can cost up to $500 Hong Kong Dollars or $65. A hotel room would cost you around $75.

3. New York

The City that Never Sleeps is almost guaranteed to be on this list. In many lists, it’s listed as one of the most expensive cities in the world, right next to Hong Kong and Singapore, and there’s a good reason why. Aside from the fact that it’s the most visited city in the world by tourists, it’s also one of the most expensive cities to live in, even for locals.

It’s estimated that a solo traveler would need to spend $1059 for a 3-Day trip to New York City, while a family of four would need to spend $2330 for three days.

4. Paris

The city of love is also one of the most expensive cities in the world. Cafes, restaurants, wine, pastries, and chocolates are all amazing in Paris, but so is their price. Aside from that, accommodation and transportation are also gold.

On average, the cheaper hotels in Paris can cost $126, and their integrated public transport system costs up to $20 dollars for the 10-ticket carnet and twice or thrice the amount for taxis and the like.

5. Dubai

Last but not least is the destination heralded as the world’s best for shopping, iconic buildings, and luxurious hotels.

Dubai has a freakishly lavish nightlife, larger-than-life buildings, and malls more luxurious than you can imagine. You’re expected to spend $198 USD per day on a minimum in Dubai if you want to experience the city properly.
