With 2023 looking to be the year when things finally go right for many, it’s important to know how to start it right for a more productive and successful year.

Write Everything You Can

It can be overwhelming when thinking of what you can do for the entire year. You’d want to do so many things, and it would be best to write them all down before the ideas disappear. Like shower thoughts that quickly disappear, don’t underestimate the ability of plans and ideas to fizzle out before you’re able to plot them out.

Sorting them out afterward will only be easier if you can write out the ideas you want.

Pick Out Your Priorities

After writing down everything, what’s more, important is being able to pick out which of them are your priorities. Choose what you really need to accomplish down to what you can leave out entirely if left without a choice.

A simple organization of what you need through a tier list is a great way to stay organized. Ranking your goals from A to D or even E can help you stay on the right path.

Plot Out Your Plans

Thinking about the possibilities of what awaits you an entire year ahead can be so exciting, and you must use and redirect that energy toward plotting out your plans.

One way to do it is to identify your goals, plot them out through the year, and schedule when you need to start and finish them.

Set Deadlines

Deadlines work. Even if, at some point, you aren’t able to follow them religiously or you end up missing one or two, deadlines help create this sense of responsibility and urgency. This helps you set the pace you’d want to, even if, at times, you won’t be able to follow it.

Tell People About Your Goals

One of the best ways to maximize productivity is through accountability, and one of the best ways to make sure you’re held accountable for your goals is to let others know about it.

Are you planning on saving up to get a car this year? Are you planning on enrolling this semester? Tell your family plans like these so they can check up on you and hold you accountable.

Whatever it is you’re looking forward to, a lot of things can happen in a year, so it’s best to be as comprehensive as possible when planning out. Spend the first few days or even weeks identifying your goals and how you want them to be.
