New restaurants are always exciting to try out. Being able to try new dishes and flavours and being able to try new things is a fun way to spend your free time.

For this video, we’ll list a selection of 6 new restaurants in Brooklyn you have to try.

1. Little Grenjai

First on this list is a Thai-American restaurant. Little Grenjai is currently in its super soft opening phase, serving meals from Wednesday to Sunday from 11 in the morning to 3 in the afternoon.

While their menu is unfortunately still limited, everything is great, so that isn’t an issue at all. Their Congee, Kra Pow, and Smash Burgers paired with beer or cold brew are perfect for lunch.

2. Wizard Hat Pizza

Yes, yes. We know Brooklyn and New York have plenty of pizza chains already. While we can’t promise that it will be better than most of them, Wizard Hat Pizza has something unique going on.

They serve naturally leavened pizza dough, which makes flavorful pizza without commercial yeast. This helps intensify the flavour of the dough.

3. Nowon

Nowon was the first Korean-American Pocha or Gastropub to open in East Village. You can expect the same quality on the menu for their branch in Bushwick.

There’s plenty to try from the Spicy Gochujang Fried Chicken to the Legendary Cheeseburger and the rest of their menu. If you’re looking for drinks, they also have an assortment.

4. Mitica

With amazing reviews from a lot of people, Mitica, a newly-opened Mexican restaurant on Franklin Street, is one to consider.

The shrimp taco, risotto, trout tortillas, and duck are all must-tries, and they elevate the usual taste of Mexican food with care and passion. Their complimenting drinks are also great, presenting a cool area to spend the night with families or friends.

5. Sailor

As the brand new addition to Dekalb Avenue near Fort Greene Park, Sailor, as the name suggests, is a seafood restaurant.

The mussel toast with roasted fennel aioli, steamed red snapper with mushrooms and celeriac with vadouvan spices, as well as the whole roasted chicken with dried herb butter and parmesan roasted potatoes are all dishes you should consider.

6. Lingo

Last but not least on this list is Lingo, a Japanese-American restaurant. Lingo, or Ringo, means apple in Japanese.

The smoked tamago sando, with salmon roe and fresh herbs is a stand-out. The octopus carpaccio, with a wonderful blend of flavors thanks to the kizami wasabi and blood orange, is also another one to try.
