While it’s tradition to spend Thanksgiving at home with the family, that isn’t always the case. Some don’t have the time to prep and cook food, and some just don’t want the hassle of preparing.

We’ve got you covered. This video will feature 5 restaurants in New York City to consider for Thanksgiving.

1. Victory Garden Cafe

Victory Garden Cafe is one of the few spots in Astoria that are open on Thanksgiving. Their fixed 3-course meal includes lamb chops and shrimp scampi.

The Greek Mediterranean restaurant offers a wide selection for A la carte options. Their Chickpea Patties, Pork Souvlaki, and Grilled Halloumi are must-tries.

2. The Ellington

Located on Broadway, The Ellington welcomes customers for Thanksgiving Eve and Thanksgiving Day for a three-course meal at $ 90 USD per person.

Their meal includes Caesar Salad and Butternut Squash Bisque for appetizers, then roasted turkey, buttermilk-mashed potatoes, fillet mignon as the main course, and scallops and shrimp as well as wild mushroom ravioli.

3. Le Jardinier

As a restaurant with a Michelin star, Le Jardinier is one of the fancier options on this list.

They haven’t released a menu yet for Thanksgiving, but we expect that some of their dishes from last year like the Turkey with cranberry coulis and king salmon with cauliflower, will be retained. For dessert, a cake such as the pumpkin patch cheesecake mousse will also probably be included.

4. Essential by Christophe

Essential by Christophe is one to consider if you’re looking for something more unique. Their red king crab, hiramasa with avocado, and yuzu, are just some of the dishes that give a glimpse of their identity.

For Thanksgiving, they offer a choice of Foi Grass, Wild Red King Crab, or Hamachi for starters. They follow that up with an option of Langoustine, Scallop, or Comte Cheese Souffle. For the main course, Black Bass, Icelandic Cod, Venison, or Turkey are the options. These options are the options for dessert: the Honeynut Squash, Vacherin, or La Ceruse sur le Gateau.

5. P.J. Clarke’s

Last on this list is comfort food for Thanksgiving. From oysters, to burgers, chickens, and steaks, they have all of them here.

Their Jumbo Lump Crab Cakes, Lobster Rolls, and Spicy Shrimp with Capellini are good options for seafood. For meat, the Newport steak frites are to-die-for. The Clarke, the Cadillac, and Au Poivre are all must-tries for burgers.
