Winter in New York City offers plenty of exciting and fun activities. In this video, we’ll be listing down 5 activities that capture the holiday spirit.

1. Holiday Markets

Holiday markets in NYC are some of the best things to do during winter. Each holiday market has its own theme, but most of them revolve around locally made, produced, and distributed goods and gizmos from all over New York.

Bryant Park Winter Village by Bank of America is one of the most coveted holiday markets and one to visit. It’s filled with numerous holiday shops, food stalls, and various activities.

2. Attending a Broadway Show

If you aren’t into outdoor activities during winter, you can opt to attend a show on broadway. There are some seasonal shows on Broadway during the holidays, and it’s a great way to stay warm during the chilling winter.

The Nutcracker, A Christmas Carol, and Annie are to catch if you plan to watch a show this winter season.

3. Visiting A Museum

While museums are open all year round and aren’t specifically winter activities, plenty of museums in New York City make it fun to visit during the holidays.

The MET, Metropolitan Museum of Art, Museum of Modern Art, and the American Museum of Natural History are great spots with holiday-themed activities you should consider visiting.

4. Ice Skating

Ice Skating may be available all year round in some places, but nothing beats ice skating during the holidays. Whether by yourself, with a date, or with families or friends, an occasional outdoor activity can spice things up.

There are plenty of ice skating rinks, but The Rink at Rockefeller Center and the Bryant Park Winter Village ice skating rink are highly suggested.

5. Concerts and Fundraisers

Last but not least, attending winter activities can provide an entertaining experience.
Concerts, fundraisers, and activities like Jazzfest, the Winter Jam at Central Park, and even New Year Fun Runs are all entertaining activities where you can spend precious time with families and friends while helping out the community at the same time.
