Jollibee recently opened not one, but two fast food restaurants in New York! One is located near Time Square and the other is situated in the heart of Woodside.

What is Jollibee you say?

Well, it’s not as famous as other American fast food chains, but they are one of the fastest Filipino fast food chain of stores in Asia and the world! Jollibee Foods Corporation (JFC) is actively paying a huge sum of money for marketing, I can assure you that this review is unsolicited, unbiased and is viewed from someone who loves eating at fast food restaurants.

Although, it would be nice if I was paid by Jollibee, because I’m doing some form of marketing for them too, right?

Kidding aside, I’m a fan of Asian, American and other foreign fast food restaurants that have open up a branch here in my country, the Philippines. And while I think there’s only a slight difference between the fried chicken in KFC (Kentucky Fried Chicken) and Jollibee’s Chicken Joy, it is the gravy sauce that gives Jollibee the advantage. Again I’m not judging here, as you may like KFC’s gravy more than that of Jollibee. But their success speaks volumes of how good their products are, otherwise they would not have opened 1,200 outlets across 234 countries (besides the 1,300 stores that are already based in the Philippine archipelago).

Right now Jollibee has a relatively small presence in the US with only 37 stores spread across a few states including California, Hawaii, Illinois, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Texas, Virginia and Washington State. But the company is planning to grow that number to over 150 all across mainland United States within the next five years!

This YouTube video has made Jollibee even more sensational:

Giving free Chicken Joy to random New Yorkers is spot on a great marketing strategy! Now not only did people know that there are two Jollibee stores in New York City, but that it also makes great fried chicken and an even better gravy sauce! During an interview with CNBC Make It, Jollibee declined to disclose its latest sales figures in the US; however, they did say that they made a “record-setting, double-digit sales growth in 2017.”

The most in demand Jollibee products include:

  • Chicken Joy
  • Yumburger
  • Jolly Spaghetti
  • Jolly Hotdog
  • Super Meals
  • Burger Steak
  • Tuna Pie
  • Peach Mango Pie
  • Chocolate Sundae
  • Jolly Crispy Fries
  • Coke Float

Have you eaten at Jollibee’s before, and if so do you think it’s a place those that crave Filipino food need to tryout?
