4 Ways to Easily Share Content on Instagram

We have listed four (4) easy ways on how you can share your IG content.

Share posts to stories.

You can share either your or someone else’s feed post to your story. You have to click on the paper airplane icon and choose “Share on your Story.” Once you are in your story builder, you can add doodles, stickers, or text to make the post even more attention catching. This sharing option is a great way to highlight your feed post, especially when you have more views on your stories. Users tend to check your stories more can be redirected to your post.

It’s also a great way to resurface old posts. For instance, you will be sharing a post from a year ago that you find relevant now. Once you share it with your stories and people click on it, they will be redirected to that post – even if that post was already a year ago.

This sharing option is also great for collaborations and brand partnerships. Both of you can share each other’s content to reach more audiences.

You can share feed posts, stories, IGTV videos, and reels via direct message. Make sure to click on the paper airplane icon, choose the person or group you want to send it to, and click send. It will lead you directly to that group chat or the DM of the person. If you’ve sent it to an existing thread, then you will be redirected there. But if this is a new DM, then you can start a conversation from there.

Direct messages are more personal. This can help you have a more intimate conversation with these people. You are also free to customize the message and start the conversation; however, you want to.

Share stories you’ve been tagged in.

Once someone has tagged you in a story, you will get a notification in your direct message. From here, you will have the option to repost it in your own story. You also have the option to go to the original post and share it from there. Once you click “Add this to your story,” you will be directed to your story builder. You can then customize it by adding doodles, stickers, or texts.

Since you can only share stories when you are tagged, you must be tagged in all stories if it comes in a series to share everything. For instance, an IG story is a 5-part series, and you are only tagged on the first one. That’s the only story you can reshare. If you want your whole story series to be reshared, make sure to tag people in the series’ entire story.

Sharing IGTV

IGTV can be shared with your stories, feed posts, and direct messages. Once you upload your IGTV video, you have the option to add previews to your feed posts and your stories.

If you share a preview to a feed post, a 15-second preview of the IGTV video will appear on your profile and the feed of your followers. Once the preview ends, an icon “Watch Full Video” will appear on the post directing them to the complete IG Video.

If you share an IG video to your story, a preview of the video and a link to the IGTV video will appear in the story. This will allow your viewers to be redirected to IGTV for them to be able to watch the whole video. However, you can’t share a feed post from someone else to your feed post, and you also can’t share stories of others if you’re not tagged.

4 Ways to Easily Share Content Cautions

For you to do this, you can use third-party reporting tools or take a screengrab of the content. When reposting via a screengrab, you have to ask for explicit permission from the content creator. It can be through the comments section or direct messages. If you share their content without their permission and proper attribution, it can lead to a lawsuit, and this is the last thing you’d want.
