A new year means new things to plan. If you’re thinking of places to visit for vacation, there are a lot of things to consider, like budget, accessibility, and overall value.

For this video, we’ll be taking a look at five destinations you should consider for 2023.

1. Bohol, Philippines

For the first destination on our list, tourists from all over the world have begun to flock back to this place in the Philippines, filled with countless natural wonders and perfect for people looking for a getaway vacation.

One of the main attractions in this mini archipelago is a UNESCO World Heritage site, the Chocolate Hills. Bohol is also very affordable, so budget won’t be a problem.

2. Antarctica

Like Bohol, Antarctica is also an amazing destination for nature lovers, but it’s on the opposite side of the same coin. Instead of beaches and tropical forests, it’ll be a lot of ice. Nevertheless, Antarctica has a number of great nature spots to visit—and maybe even hike.

Antarctica also has a number of animals you won’t find anywhere else, like penguins, seals, and polar bears.

Make sure to visit Cape Corn and King George Island.

3. Sydney, Australia

From down under, Sydney is the city to visit if you’re thinking of traveling to Australia. Sydney has endless beaches, great food, and other fun destinations. There’s a reason why it’s heralded as one of the most beautiful cities in the world.

You may also want to catch the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup, which will be held there this year from the 20th of July until the 20th of August.

4. Scotland

Aside from the castles and the lake that Nessy lives in, Scotland still has plenty to offer. However, remember that most of Scotland’s appeal comes from its amazing scenery, so hiking is a must if you want to make the most of your vacation there.

Edinburgh, Glasgow, and the Highlands are three of the top tourist destinations in Scotland.2

5. Naples, Italy

Naples is a great way to wrap up this list. Aside from Mount Vesuvius, where you’ll be able to spot what remains of Pompeii and its Archaeological Museum, they also claim to have one of—if not the most—delicious pizza in all of Italy, a claim they hold on to seriously.

If archaeology, museums, and amazing food are your idea of a great vacation, then Naples is certainly the place to visit.
